Red Cross Adult & Pediatric FA/CPR/AED Blended

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults and pediatrics, and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. The online portion of this blended course features award-winning simulation learning – an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting – which will prepare you for the instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a Flash-enabled PC with a high speed Internet connection. Allow 2 hours 10 minutes to complete the online portion of First Aid/CPR/AED training. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. N O T E: A VALID EMAIL IS REQUIRED FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION WITH HYPERLINKS TO DO THE ONLINE PORTION OF THE CLASS AND FOR YOUR DIGITAL CERTIFICATION. Please dress comfortable as skills are performed on the floor. Students are required by the American Red Cross to perform one full round of CPR on the floor.  Should you have medical restrictions, please call our office before registering to inquire about possible accommodations.  PLEASE NOTE: Bring your Printed Results from your online training or a digital copy or we may not be able to accept you into the class.

A link to complete the online portion of training will be sent after registration.  Allow yourself 2-3 hours to complete.  We advise starting 48 hours prior to your in-person course. You must provide a copy of your certificate of completion to your instructor on the first day of class in order to participate in the in-class portion of training

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross is designed for healthcare providers and public safety professionals and meets a variety of certification and licensing requirements.

The 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. Consistent with the American Red Cross Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration, practice and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.The American Red Cross is an accredited provider of continuing education by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education.
